At present, the great mass of the intensity testing experiments of corrugated fiberboard boxes are carried out on the pressure testing machines. Most of these machines are applying the test and control systems that are based on single chip, which are used to test the pressure intensity and ability to undertake stacking load of whole corrugated fiberboard boxes. This paper is going to reconstruct the former testing machine with PC system, which will completely meet the requirements about the testing of corrugated fiberboard boxes.This paper has developed and designed a set of test and control system of pressure testing machine based on PC. Firstly, it introduces the working principle and the structure of the former pressure testing machine. The finite element models of the corrugated fiberboard boxes being pressed are modeled, which can be used to be an assistant means to validate the testing results. Secondly, it presents the detailed design project of the reconstructed testing machine, which adopts AC-servo motor and its driver, DAQ card, high precision pressure sensor and displacement sensor to construct the hardware platform of the pressure testing machine. Thirdly, the software system project of this test and control system is introduced, which applies the advanced testing software, LabVIEW,that is used to develop virtual instrument. The software system can dynamically display the sampling data pressure and displacement relation graph. Besides, the testing data and graphs are expediently to be saved , reshown and printed. This paper developed the driver of the DAQ card under the surrounding of LabVIEW with VC++6 tool, which insures the feasibility and stability of the whole system as well as reduces the cost of it effectively. In the end of it, the performance of the reconstructed testing machine is analyzed.
