The typical representation of rotary recreation facilities-rotary swing was our study object in this paper. Mechanical system dynamics software ADAMS was used to do some study for improving the security of rotary swing. The virtual prototype model of rotary swing was established for the first time, self-defining modeling program of cable wire was exploited. This program had a certain of currency, it could be used to establish chain or pedrail model as if take some modification. By using ADAMS software to do kinematics and dynamics analysis for rotary swing, it could be obtained that the speed, acceleration and force of swing in every time. These kinds of data were hard to be gained before. We can base on them to analyze the security of rotary swing and tourists themselves now. The influence of offset load was analyzed in the paper, offset load had large hidden trouble for the safety of swing and tourist, we could take some advices according to this data. The influence of importing rotate speed on tourist safety was studied by using optimization function of ADAMS. The study showed that importing rotate speed had a larger effect on acceleration than on speed which acted on tourist.
