Swing movable teeth reducer, which is used to transmit rotary motion and power between two shafts with same axis, is a new type of small teeth difference planetary gear reducer. With a vast application vista, it has many advantages such as close structure, large range transmission ratio, strong load capacity and high transmission efficiency. Virtual prototyping, as a kind of brand-new products development approach, compares with traditional design method, it can not merely revise and design conveniently through virtual prototype before making physics prototype actually, shorten products development period, lower costs, and can also improve the properties of product, strengthen the market competitiveness, accelerate the transformation from new technology to new products. It is very important meaning of using virtual prototyping to carry on the systematic design and performance emulation in swing movable teeth reducer and seeking optimization design of the products.This paper utilizes CAD/CAE software on the basis of theoretical research of swing movable tooth drive, establish Solid Edge-ADAMS-ANSYS and integrate the systematic platform, carry on virtual prototype and performance emulation in swing movable teeth reducer, have realized that virtual design, virtual assembly, and the study on systematic emulation. Content of studying in this paper includes mainly in the following: 1. Based on gear engagement principle, it analyzed work principle, characteristic and transmission ratio of swing movable tooth drive, calculated gear profile of internal gear of swing movable teeth reducer profile of ring gear, and testified which provide theory base for the further modifying the profile; 2. It established virtual prototype model of swing movable tooth reducer, completed virtual design and assembly, and realized variable design. 3. Pilot discussed the model data conversion between Solid Edge and ADAMS software, the paper succeeded in finishing the conversion geometry model between the two kinds of software. 4. Discussed the means and key technique used to build the virtual prototype of complexmechanical system in the software-integrated environment that proved to be reliable. 5. Through having carried on dynamics imitate of swing movable teeth reducer prototype model, the paper probed into key load situation and sport characteristic that key part bear and analyzed different impacts on systematic dynamics performance of operating mode, which offered the important basis for system optimization, vibration, analysis of the life-span of noise in the future. 6.Based on the principles of similarity theory, the paper determined virtual prototype validity, which proved virtual prototype system validity of swing movable teeth reducer.
