The Design And Realization Of A Vehicle Watching System Based On GPRS Technique

This thesis makes full use of the virtue of GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) technique, and combined with the technique of GPS (Global Position System) and GIS (Geophysics Information System), a plan of vehicles watching and managing system is proposed in this article. This system receives GPS position information, and sends it to Internet through GPRS net. And with the technique of GIS, it realizes managing and attempering vechiles at the watching end. It enhances the vechiles using and managing efficiency, and offers alarming function and receiving short messages function.At first, this paper describes the structure and characteristics of GPRS network. GPRS network is a mobile packet data net by adding two nodes to GSM network, SGSN and GGSN. By using packet exchanging technique, it overcomes the low- efficiency and low-utilization in circuit exchanging. Thus it provides a general radio packet service with high- efficiency and low-cost.In succession, the paper introduces the structure and principle of the system, the function and realization of mobile end and watching end. It discusses the principle analyse, hardware structure and software programming. This system is composed of mobile end, communication network and watching end. And in mobile end, there consists GPS receiver, GPRS module, central controler, power and LCD. Among these, ETR186 is the most important. So while discussing the principle of the system, hardware configuration and software development of ETR186 is also put forward. The function of mobile end includes alarm, position, receiving short messages from mobile phone and watching end. At mobile end, the problem includes picking up GPS data, control of GPRS and encoding/decoding of short messages. The watching end is an ordinary PC computer, which can connect to Internet and has a static IP address. It distills position information by programing, shows position of vechiles on electronic maps. And it can show the track of vechiles, realize the watching function to the mobile object. In thediscussion of watching end, the technique of network programing and electronic chart display technique are expatiated.
