In recent years, with the economical development, society progress and the national economy fast continual development, the dangerous material transportation increased day after day, our country dangerous material transportation security control faced with new challenge. Progressive dangerous material transportation to the cities, the crowd, the rivers threat is more and more important, so the dangerous material transportation security problem obtained the more and more high value. But until now, there is no research on the dangerous material transportation. Dangerous material transportation has big risk, high security request, the social effect of accident and the property lost are extremely serious, therefore find a way of the dangerous material transportation safety control, improve the environment of the dangerous material transportation, make he dangerous material transportation develop safety and healthy, has become the transportation management department and the dangerous material transportation profession important topic. Therefore, the GPS/GPRS/GIS dangerous material transportation monitor system arose at the historic moment. The vehicles supervisory system is composed of the geographic information system technology, the space orientation technology and the wireless data communication technology. This article summarize the former research, introduces the application on the dangerous material transportation based on the GPS/GIS/GPRS real-time vehicles supervisory. The article has analyzed GPS, GIS, the GPRS technology characteristic and the union method, emphatically elaborates the experimental system structure and the module development.Apply the design this article bring, the vehicles with dangerous material in the movement process, the GPS receiver on the vehicle terminal receives localization data from localization satellite, calculates own geographical position coordinates, offer the GPS data for vehicle navigation terminal to navigate. At the same time, the coordinates data through the communication module on the vehicle terminal, uses the vehicles position, the condition, the alarm and other information through the GPRS network, transmits to the central server which has the static IP address, coexists the central database. Simultaneously send the alarm information to the corresponding monitoring unit. The monitoring unit connect the central server through Internet or the GPRS network, receive the data from center server, thus monitor the vehicles with dangerous material, also may inquire about the track of the vehicles with dangerous material, the processed information of the vehicles with dangerous material match up to the electronic map on the monitoring terminal, and display correct position of the mobile target on the map, thus enable the monitoring center clearly and directly control the dynamic positional information of the vehicles with dangerous material.
