Simple Model Of Stiffness Of Short-leg Shear Walls With Shear Deformation

Short-leg shear wall structure satisfies the request of the architect that has enoughstiffness and good aseismatic performance. Now few people carry out the research aboutthe short-leg shear wall structure. The performance of structure in different phase canobtain by the finite element analysis that can help the good design of the short-leg shearwall structure.The macroscopical model is comparatively simple; it's mechanics concept is clear,and it's calculate work is smaller. The macroscopical model of analysis for practicalitystructure is the uppermost model for researching and using. But the macroscopical modelexists certain localization. Only some suppose being satisfied macroscopical model cansimulate structural practicality state of force-bearing accurately. Aiming at the practicalitystate of short shear wall structure,This paper take into account the effect of shear deformation by mathematicsmethod ,set up a macroscopical finite element analysis model to simulate the structure ofshort-leg shear wall, whose beam and wall modeled by beam element of ADINA8.0. Bymacroscopical finite element analysis model this paper contrast the performance betweenshort-leg shear wall structure and special shaped column structure. the results indicatethat: 45.06 percent bending stiffness of short-leg shear wall structure has beenimproved,21.06 percent carrying capacity has been improved. The last demolishment isbending ,the ductility coefficient satisfy the demand of 3~5. at the same time make adiscussion about some factors such as the radio of width and length, the width of wingradio of steel etc in this paper and bring some advices.
