Cable car is an important speediness transport for the port which has a long brae. In recent years, especially after the bar finished in SanXia and other place, more brae ports were engendered at the upriver of ChangJiang River and other rivers. With the increase of the passenger, each port has adopted to the cable car for the reason of reduce passenger time in the port. So the cable car system entered a high speed developing date.The cable car has much excellence such as speediness, carrying more passenger, etc. But because of its power system and working surroundings, it must be installed the protection system. Otherwise it will be bring serious outcome. Now in our country, there are different protection systems on the cable car in different port. The typical systems are cam rail clamping device, heavy bob rail clamping device and elastic spring rail clamping device. They are all designed for the special port and the cable car, each of them has its own merit and shortage. With more and more cable car were adopted by the ports, it would be a serious problem that how to design the protection system for the cable car quickly.Roller wheel and carrier rod protection system is a new pattern protection system which designed by the Research Institute of Mechanical for The Port, WuHan University of technology. It can safely and rapidly vice the cable car on the track when the cable break accidently. In this article, I have build up the dynamics model in three freedoms by using the Lagrange equation, finished an emluator program by using the VB language. Through the program, we can emulate the motion of the cable car, and get the result of the emulation through the graph. For helping the reader understand the working principle of the system, I have build the 3-D virtual machine and cartoon, which can emersion the motion of the system.In this article, I firstly emulate the complete brake process of the cable car, build up the dynamic model of the cable car system, and provide a method for emulate the regulation of the force variety. Build the 3-D model and virtual machine, all of them can reduce the period for design and produce the protection system.
