Facing the management system and present situations of electricity supply companies in China, this paper roundly introduces communication schemes and structures that are now adopted widely at home and abroad, such as GSM, spread spectrum carrier, and optical fiber communication, In order to meet the metric requirements of electric system in the actual circumstance of different clients, a integrated communication scheme is designed on the base of the need of the field and the computation technique, This scheme choose short message service of GSM to realize longdistance data transmitting in wireless mode, by using special line+GSM modem method, it is reliable and easy to transmit data to remote ends, and therefore, set up a real remote meter reading system.Automation calculation of the energy is an important item to carry out the Distribution Automation and the power market management. Remote Automation Meter reading System can be use as a part of power usage system or urban/rural distribution automation system, it has important significance to dispatch and distribute load reasonably, and it has great benefits to society and economy.
