Monographs On The Social Spatiality Of Hanzheng Jie Area Of Wuhan City, Serial No.4 Transition Terrace

Hanzheng Jie, one of the most age-old commercial blocks of Wuhan, has experienced time after time large-scale urban reconstruction since 1980's. The massive lanes are occupied by the commercial space; as a result, the inhabitant's daily life has to be shifted to the reconstructed transition terrace. The daily life on the terrace can be either simple and boring or complicated and vivid. Based on the field survey, we will analyze the intrinsic reason of daily life on the complex and disorder transition terrace. The research mainly include two parts of investigations and analysis: the first part emphasize particularly on the study of the function, substance environment and the inhabitant's activities on the transition terrace of primary business-dwell-mixed building in the Hanzheng Jie; the second part is a detailed analyze on the Jingchang cloth market transition terrace as a case study. On the basis of two investigation and analysis; through the observation and analyze of the substance-based space environment and the social-based space environment; associated with the related research theory, we reveal the factors which support the daily life on the transition terrace of the Hanzhenjie and accomplish the analysis through the appearance and the configuration. Through the study of the complicated and disordered daily life on the transition terrace of Hanzheng Jie, we hope this research can provide instructive advice for the future development of the business-dwell-mixed building.
