Research On An Intelligent Multi-Function Testing Instrument

Portable Multifunction Wide-Range Testing Meter is a research project of JiangXi GanZhou Power Company. It is designed for testing various electric parameters. Traditionally, We need several testing meters to test all these electric parametes, such as universal meter, etc. While with this testing meter, we got all this functions together, It saves money and reduce maintaining time. After analyzing the functions and principles of the meter, our team has produced this testing meter. The functions of this meter include RLC meter, dielectric loss angel meter, MOA meter, electric meter, direct-resistance meter and check gauge. Our goal is make this meter intelligent, so contract to traditional meters, It has more functions and is more easy to use. In this thesis, on the basis of analyzing in detail that the systematic functions and main technical indicator of the integrated testing system, the overall plan of design has been presented, which adopts embedded industrial-control computer as the up-machine. The operating system of embedded-pc is Microsoft WinCE.Net 4.2, which becomes more and more popular in embedded situations. .NET Compact Framework is with the operating system. The developing environment is Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2003. The programming language is C#. An operator can do their testing work either by external keyboard & mouse. Or by the operating-keyboard. The operating keyboard is chip microcomputer-based. The communication between up-machine and the keyboard is implemented by RS232. The augmentability and convenience is put to first during design session.
