As a new technology in today's design and manufacture fields, the Virtual Prototype Technology brings new energy to the traditional design and manufacture. The application of virtual prototyping technology not only improves simulation technique's precision, but also saves the time.This paper has attempted to use this technology in the dynamic analysis of Closed Differential CVT.The simulation show the actual working behaviour, and forecast some characters that is not easy to describe in theory caculation. This method is very useful for the practical design. The main points of the thesis are listed below:Firstly, dynamics and mechanics of Closed Differential CVT were analyzed in the theory, including the range of transmission ratio, velocity, torque, power flow, slip ratio, transmission efficiency and the force of important part.In the Pro/Engineer 3D software, 3D solid model of Closed Differential CVT was built up, the method of making gear parameter model, and the process of assembling planet differential gear train applying 3D software Pro/Engineer were most introduced. And then ADAMS software'feature, important module's function, The multi-body dynamics theory which support the adams software, flow of work, the step of appling adams earring on dynamic simulation analyse were all introduce and thus it provide the theory basis for building up Virtual Prototype and earring on dynamic analyse in ADAMS software.3D solid model was imported to ADAMS succefully. Physical constraint mechanism of the Closed Differential CVT was implemented. Contacting parameter was determined by the formula that was deduced applying the hertz theory.Lastly, virtual prototype of Closed Differential CVT's dynamic simulation was carried on. Important curves were gained.
