SS4G electric locomotive is the third usher product of the third generation. Since the fist one is produced in 1993, SS4G electric locomotive is widely used in some area of our country and contributes a lot to the trunk line electrification of our country.Automatic test system of electronic cabinet for locomotive is very important to its producing and running. Currently ZECT automatic test system platform is mainly used, which use industrial control PC to process the data that make it unwieldy and expensive.The thesis takes SS4G as the actual object. After researching on the automatic test theory, ARM architecture and the ROTS μC/OS, the thesis discuses and probes on the design of the hardware and software of the automatic test system.About the hardware design it uses ARM chip LPC2210 as the micro controller, and uses FPGA chip to control all modules, which also makes sine and pulse signal arise. Moreover in order to save I/O resource of LPC2210, it uses I~2C bus to design keyboard and connects LCD module and D/A chip with the EMC.About the software design it assigns the tasks and the priory grade of the tasks exactly after analyzing the function of the system. It creates and delays tasks dynamically in the course of the system running so that we can converse the EMS memory. At last the thesis provides flow chart of the program.In the end, taking the trait controlling circuit as an example, which is the important one in all of the electronic cabinet, it depicts the way of testing circuit boards.
