Zhongshan road historical block is an important relic in Hangzhou which displays the diversity of the city culture. Her special sight is a important part of hangzhou' landscape pattern. Now this historical block is in the influence of the city development. Though people in many ranks tried their best to protect the block, it still seems a tough problem about the right way to protect.The thesis covers many interrelated theoretics and methods about the protection and renovation of historical block. Pointed that the protect of historical block is a multi-field research which involves politics, economy and culture.
