Applied Research About Coach Design Based On Similarity And Modularization

In the paper, the author discussed the theory of similarity and used it in coach design, chose the character factors of coaches and figured out the value of their weight, then built a methodology to choose a reference coach in the new type coach design.Combine the theory of similarity with the methodology of modular design to design the coach body. Use a special coach as an example to divide the coach body as modular components, and set up a modular store of coach body which can be used in the new type coach design.Use the CAD technology to parameterize the modular components of coach body. Keep the shape of the components and parameter accord, so that it is convenience for designing the modular component.Assemble the modular components as the coach, build its finite element model in ANSYS software and analyze it. Compare the result with the data of experiment to confirm that the model is close enough to the real coach. And, design a new coach used the theory of similarity and methodology of modular design based on the special coach.Thereby the result confirmed that use the theory of similarity and methodology of modular in the coach design was very useful. It can cut down the time in design and reduce the cost.
