The water-resource system with the key of sluice gates are generally consisted of sluice gate, navigation lock, power station, pomp station and so on project. The gate of plain zone most of witch are plate floor have characteristics of short smaller drops of flow passing gate and big submergence degree. For the sluice gates system consisted of several structures it is the key works of sluice gat system layout that based on the condition of topography geology flow in the location gate and the demand of function characteristics operation to rational arrange the each structure relative position in the system. After a project had been constructed the rational method of administration and operation must be held to ensure safe forever operating.In this paper with the hydraulic experiment of complete Linhuaigang project above mentioned problems are studied as fellow.(1) the characteristics of layout for large sluice gate system , discharge capacity calculation of a system and construction administration and operation.(2) the formula recommended by 《sluice gate design standard 》 compare with the formula of theory calculation.(3) the study on experiment of Linhuaigang project, including system plain layout, characteristic of flow discharge and method of gat administration operation.(4) based on Linhuaigang system complete hydraulic model experiment and test date of similar plain floor gat in Anhui province offering the testing date of sum up discharge coefficient μ。 recommended by 《sluice gate design standard 》.There are some key new and advanced points in this study accomplishment as fellow:(1) the important modify and optimization have been done for origin system general layout that is that the origin type of conduit deep gate was demolished and new open gat was constructed, the center line of approach channel was rearranged eliminating phenomenon of backwater and cross flowing going to smooth, the leading flowing island are constructed respectively in the zone between upstream and downstream leading wall of deep gate and shallow gate and upstream approach channel of deep gate and ship lock eliminating backwater and cross flowing in the zone between up and down wall of the gates to let the flow going to smooth in upstream approach navigation channel of ship lock.(2) for the study on gate chamber bar beam offering beam used instead of plate avoiding the air bag and eddy may appearing in origin layout and the bad phenomenon of gate vibration leading structure damage.(3) for the model auto- control system with combination differential tail gate to control outlet, so as to remove water surface oscillate raise control result and accuracy speeding up experiment schedule ensuring result in advance.
