A Discussion On "New Style Of Tang"-Architecture

The Chinese modern architecture has passed through over a hundred years and it is a process in which we are unceasingly exploring. Up to now, our country's overall level of architectural creation has considerable progressed, but in world stage we still act as "the minor role", the formation of Chinese modern architecture characteristic still waits for the date and time.Presently, the Chinese urban construction is swiftly and violently developing, which has provided the turning point for the formation of the city and the building character. However, as a result of all sorts of reasons, our majority cities gradually assimilated, and have formed "one side thousand cities" pattern, which is pity.Since Xi'an "new style of Tang"-architecture has been published, it has won many national praises, and also obtained more high praises industry inside and outside. It is the forerunner which explored the Chinese characteristic construction and reveals the civic culture characteristic, and should obtain recognition and research.Taking Xi'an "new style of Tang"-architecture as the research object and the Xi'an urban construction as the background, the author collated and recorded the development process of Xi'an "new style of Tang"-architecture, and summed up the theory and method of the architectural creation depending on the on-the-spot investigation, the analysis construction work, and the visit of the constructed creator. Furthermore, the author has reorganized and recorded the commentary and the suggestion of the different social crowd to "new style of Tang"-architecture, tried hard through the different angle of view observation, to excavate its significance and value for the mold of the Xi'an civic culture character.Finally, "new style of Tang"-architecture is under discussion and the article forecasted the development condition and tendency of Xi'an "new style of Tang"-architecture under high tide of the Xi'an new urban construction.
