With increasing age of the building, the safe reliability of the reinforced concrete members are challenged attention in the field of civil engineering,. Strengthening by steel armoured is an effective method for increasing degree of safety and decreasing possibility of accident and elongating service life in the reinforced concrete structure.Firstly, it is computed that the bearing capacity of the reinforced concrete beam and the reinforced concrete column armoured by steel. In the process of computation, the armoured steel and the member are considered co-operating altogether. Then the results are compared and analyzed which obtained from computation and experimentation. It is approved that grouting is very necessary through bearing performance analysis for the reinforced concrete members armoured by steel. Based on that rationalization proposals are presented for structure strengthening. Secondly, it is analyzed that the stress and strain of the reinforced concrete beams armoured by steel . The simplified numeration is presented for flexivity of the reinforced concrete beams armoured by steel. The numeration is approved feasible by comparison. In the end, the types of finite element model and the constitutive equations are introduced. The three-dimensional and nonlinear finite element analysis is made for the general reinforced concrete members and the steel-armoured reinforced concrete members based on ANSYS.Through comparing and analyzing the results of computation and experimentation, the finite element analysis results have a fairly good agreement with experiment ones and the finite element model is proved rational. The behavior of the reinforced concrete structure under load are also well shown which enable a deep research on the mechanics as well as the effects of relative parameters . Above all , thethree-dimensional and nonlinear finite element analysis plays a tremendous role in reducing the experiment work, obtaining more reliable data and expanding engineering application and so on0...
