Gears are the important basic parts of mechanic products. The gear-designation and making standard will directly influence the qualities and functions of the mechanic products. As it is so important in the industrial development, gears are considered as an industrialized symbol. As the making technique of dummy is developing rapidly, the designers are in great deal of parametric designation of dummy modeling for the gears' 3D solid. The tool based on Pro/E gives us great convince to our 3D solid modeling. It not only avoids 3D modeling repeatedly, but also raises the designing efficiency. The accurate 3D modeling of the gear teeth is the essentials for affects simulation of gear structure affects simulation. NC processing interfering check and finite element analysis. So it is necessary to control the shape of tooth profile with involute equation and to bring out driving the entire dimension.1. Analysis of shaped-gearBased on the theory of gear meshing and the principle of generating machining, this paper forms the spacial mathematical model, which is the mathematical basic theory of carrying out the gear 3D model.2. Process with parametric drag-shovel turning gear modelingPro/E Software has a main designing step and a parametric list. For each model: Pro/program. The Pro/program is made up of the similar advanced languages, which can deal with the designing problems of the messages as a file .The messages mean the process of forming the products, the conditions and performance of all the characters, and the parametric designation, the dimension and mathematical relationship and so on. After modeling, Pro/program will produce a series of programs, which can be edited by the developers at any time.
