Exploration Into Management Model Of San Men Gorges Hydro-power Station

Whether "San Menxia" Hydro-Power Station will achieve its strategic managerial objective depends directly on its management system and management model. Owing to historical influences, San Menxia Hydro-Power Station still lags far behind the advanced international level in management model.Based on the study of the existing management system and operational control methods of San Menxia Hydro-Power Station, this paper attempts to make an analysis of the problems with the management model. Guided by the modern hydro-power managerial theory, and in consideration of the actual changes in the objectives towards its function, it puts forward some concrete methods and measures as to how to build up modern hydro-power management model. Taking San Menxia Hydro-Power Station as its subject of empirical analysis, it arrives at the conclusions as follows: (1) the five-year plan for its management model is excepted to be "integration of mechanics and the station, fewer people on duty, and centralized management (2) concrete measures for the reestablishment of management model of San Menxia Hydro-Power Station; (3) in addition to an effective management model, achievement of long-term development objective of San Menxia Hydro-Power Station also requires strengthening of human resources management, information management and development of corporate culture.
