With socioeconomic development, there are more and more cars in urban, which bring tremendous pressure to the urban traffic system. Integrating the transportation facilities efficiently and developing public transit vigorously is the key to improve the efficiency of traffic system, and it is the most effective way to solve urban traffic problem. In this dissertation, the composition of traffic system, the function of transfer terminals and the key position of transfer terminals in the integration of urban transportation facilities is introduced first. Then we aims to develop a model to locate the terminals based on the super transportation network. First, we study on the method for establishing a super transportation network, which integrates the lines of all modes in a city. The main focuses in this step are the topology structure and topology method for the super network, which will mathematically represent the spatial relationships and transfer paths between lines of different modes. Second, we develop a bi-level model to optimize the location of the terminals with the super network and the OD traffic flows, where the upper level aims to maximize the social benefit of the traffic system and minimize the terminal construction cost, and the lower level is a user equilibrium model to assign the whole OD traffics to the super network. We propose MNL to stochastic assign OD matrix to the super network in the lower level model. In order to solve the bi-level model efficiently, this dissertation adopts the tabu heuristic algorithm to achieve the iteration and feedback process between the upper level and the lower level, and obtain the optimal result finally. Finally, we systematically assess the preferable transfer terminals layout solutions which already obtained first. We constitute indicator system which contains internal benefit, social benefit and environmental benefit, and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is employed to systematically assess and obtain the best layout of transfer terminals.
