Most of assistant relay setting software widely used in power system are commonlyadaptive to transmission system, which rarely used in power plant, and cannot realize theauto verifying function. Aims at those problems, the author researches and exploits a"relay protection settings and verifying analysis system for electrical devices in powerplant" in this paper. According to the inner structure characteristics of power plant, thissystem completes the following functions: editing primary connecting diagram for powerplant, establishment of the database, topology/connecting analysis, fault calculation, andbuilding the whole frame of relay protection setting. This paper adopted the visual andobject-oriented program method, and established the system module through visualconnecting graph, and presented the topology and fault calculation results on theinterface for users to observe and verify. This system utilizes the list structure to accessand memory data, so the topology speed is greatly improved. This software integratedvisualization and universality synthetically, and have the merits of intuition,simplicityand practicality.
