With the technology development of computer and microcomputer protection,protection equipment update continuously, and it's function enhance uninterruptedly. Onthe contrary, the equipment which is used for teaching and experiment with lackedvariety and weak function have no means to satisfy the need of teaching and research.This paper introduces a new king of relay protection experiment equipment based onembedded system and Linux , which use DSP to collect data and use embedded system toimplement protection logic on hardware. This kind of design make hardware structuremore rational and improve equipment performance. The software design which use QTsoftware platform and OOP technique make the equipment have the merit of user-friendinterface convenience operation flexible testing method and open system to adapt theneed of teaching and research.
