The thesis includes mainly two parts: the research and realization of OPC DA server and its interaction communication with OPC client; the design and realization of OPC-integration scheme in electric power supervisory control software system.With the rapid development of computer technology, electric power real-time supervisor control and far control technology are advancing towards distributed function and network communication, data communication becomes core point of automation system. The supervisor control system need communicate to various equipments for measure and control. But now there are so many protocols from different vendors, which results in inflexibility of protocol conversion and incompatibility of integration between different software systems in the projects, aggravates the software development. So how to heighten the open architecture and co-operation ability of supervisory control system is the key.The situation is changed drastically with the application of OPC technology. OPC provides a kind of normal data exchange mechanism for many different applications in automation system. In the thesis, the OPC inner mechanism based on COM and interaction communication are analyzed firstly. Programming by Visual C++ ATL, the general OPC DA server and its interaction communication with OPC client are realized. Secondly the OPC technology is applied to the supervisory control system of power plant & transformer substation to solve data communication problems on requirements; emphatically the OPC-integration scheme in communication control management (CCM) of NSPS is discussed and applications in practice validate the better efficiency and less cost of system integration, transplant and upgrade. Finally the prospect of OPC and its important role in IEC61850 are discussed.
