A Study Of Communication Substation For Integrating Substation Data Into PI System

Along with the power system's development, the security and reliability becomesmore and more important for power system rtmning, according to which plenty ofIntelligent Electric Device (IED) are applied to substation. In order to obtain morereal time information of power system, somebody advance to build a real timeDatabase of the whole power system based on PI Database technology. Now, lots ofinformation which acquit by IED only be used at home and can't be transmitted to theDatabase, which lost much message, so we advance to build a new data acquisitionsystem, which is named "Substation Data Import to PI Database System", the functionof the new system is importing data of substation IED acquitted with real-timeproperty or similarity real-time property to PI Database.The Communication Substation which discussed by this thesis is coming from thesystem hereinbefore. The main function of Communication Substation is dataacquisition and Protocol conversion. Thesis introduces the status and peculiarity ofthe Communication Substation. The design on electrical of Communication conformsto multiple CPU cooperate working's principle. Thesis describes the collectivitywhole frame of hardware and each of hardware's modules in detail. VxWorks OS isused by Communication Substation. The Software whole frame, data acquisitionframe and interior Communication are interpreted particular, the thesis also simplydescribe the hardware driver, BSP development, Keyboard programmer and so on.Beside, the thesis has introduced how data is imported to PI database byIEC61850/103 protocol or OPC protocol.
