A Premier Discussion On The Construction Of Wetland Landscape In The City Of Guiyang

According to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, wetlands refer to water areassuch as swampland, peatland, which can be natural or artificial, long-term orseasonal, still or liquid,and can be freshwater, semi-saltwater or saltwater, includingthose water area which is no deeper than 6 meter at its lower water-level.Through analysis on wetlands in Guiyang City and their types, distribution,influences by urbanization, the author introduces methods of landscape constructionfor river and reservoirs wetlands. At the same time finds that there are many problemsin landscape construction and protection, such as lack of water, water qualitydeterioration, ruin of ecological environment. Now more and more people payattention to wetlands, and try to recover and rebuild degraded wetlands. The authorforms strategy for wetlands landscape construction for Guiyang city, that is tomaintain rivers' natural diversity, develop local wetland plants, conserve native ethnicculture, and construct unique upland karst wetland landscape. In this thesis the authorprovide a guide for wetland landscape protection, utilization and construction.
