In this fast developing time of China, different types of urban planning and developing programs with different purpose are put onto rivers in cities. The rivers and the ecological environment along the costal area are facing bigger threats. At the same time, the ecological stability of urban rivers is affecting the stability and equilibrium of the urban ecological system. Nowadays people’s environmental consciousness is getting stronger, and their needs on the spiritual level is improving too. The ecological protection and educational model functions of wetlands are being enlarged no matter they are considered as landscape parks or biological habitat. As to the newly developed but fast growing artificial wetland construction, the effects are obvious. However, there are problems such as lack of public awearness and the immature system of the designing theories. Western countries already started the development of artificial wetland in the middle of last century, and China stared to pay more attention on the development of constructed wetland in resent years too.Based on a large amount of references, this thesis delivered the concepts of wetlands, artificial wetlands and other related concepts. Through the study of related theories of Landscape Ecology and Sustainable Development, the thesis analized the cases of protecting and utilizing river wetlands and the construction of artificial wetlands from inside and outside of China. It summarized the experiences and lessons from the cases, and how to construct the landscape of artificial wetlands. At the same time, based on the process of the ecosystem restoration for Beijing Yongdinghe River, the paper analized the design method and the technological means of artificial wetlands landscaping in details, further discussed the model of artificial wetlands landscaping during the process of ecosystem restoration, and made suggestions for the future development it. |
