The squeezed branch disk pile is developed from the original concrete castingpile with the equal cross-section. Special equipment is employed to apply pressure inthe appropriate soil layers within the hole of the pile, and to form the 'branch' and'disk'. At the same time, the surrounding soil of the pile is squeezed compact, so itsphysical properties and the mechanical indices are partially enhanced, the potential ofthe foundation is exploited, and the end load-bearing area of the pile is enlarged. Theoriginal friction pile with one end load-bearing point has been changed to a frictionpile with multiple end load-bearing points, and its loading mechanism has also beenmodified, which greatly improves the bearing capacity of the pile. Such technique isnot only scientific and reasonable in design, but also produces a new type of pileswith unique features.The properties of the squeezed branch disk pile are analyzed in the thesis, and theformula for the bearing capacity of such pile is also introduced. Through the analysisof an engineering example, a conclusion is reached that, when combining thesqueezed branch disk pile with the post-grouted technique during construction, thebearing capacity of the pile could be greatly enhanced because of the closecementation of the originally loose sedimentary detritus, grains and cracks.Additionally, the construction sequences, the use of the construction facilities, theorganization of construction and the examination of the construction quality are fullyanalyzed in this thesis, which could serve as references to the application of thesqueezed branch disk pile in the Tianjin district.
