Research Of Ergonomics Application

With advancement of human society and development of industries, people attach more and more importance to Industrial Design and Ergonomics' application. Human body measurement and its data is the base of Industrial Design and Ergonomics' application.This paper studied mainly linear correlations between percentiles of the body dimensions in our national standards, and then established the mathematical model of human dimensions. Based on it, the new human dimensions' data (2004) was analysed and processed, in order to build up-dated human dimensions' data system. Finally, the paper illuminated the rules and operation programs of Ergonomics application of human dimensions' data, and many typical examples of Ergonomics application are illustrated.The whole thesis covers the following four parts:1. The study of Ergonomics and AnthropometryThe paper studied Ergonomics and Anthropometry firstly. It illuminated Ergonomics, Industrial Design, Anthropometry, measurement technology and human body measurements.2. The correlative study of national standardsThe paper studied general human body measurements in industrial design and ergonomics application. Correlations analysis and least square fittings of percentilies of the body dimensions were made by applying the software SPSS 13 and Matlab. At a result, the linear correlations betweenpercentilies of the body dimensions were educed, and the mathematical model of human body measurements was established for ergonomics application.3. The analysis and processing of new body measurements' dataBased on the model above, new body measurements' data was analyzed and processed, and new human dimensions system was established in accord with national standards and ergonomics application. And the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 10th, 50th, 90th, 95th, 98th and 99th percentiles of all human measurements were reported here to the advantage of application of ergonomics & industrial design.4. Application of human measurements' data in Industrial Design Finally, the paper illuminated applied rules of human dimensions' datafor industrial design, advanced concrete operation programs, and gave some typical examples.
