The military vertical mixer is the special equipment to process solid propellant of missiles. The control system is its important constituent. It is responsible to organize and direct various units working coordinately. It has many functions including operating the movement of the dynamic system, surveying and controling the important parameters, the security interconnection, surveilling the working status, displaying the parameters, recording and printing, reporting and processing emergency.Along with the development of our country solid missile technology, and the urgent demand to the strategic weapons, the charge of the solid missile rocket engine propellant is more and more big. But the existing military vertical mixer systems in our country universally exist many shortcoming, such as capacity is small, control system Falls behind, efficiency is low. They have created many times the engine off and the accident, and have created the serious property damage and the personnel lose. They already completely can't satisfy the request of the war industry development. In overseas, the military vertical mixer system belongs to the output control products that COCOM (Coordinating Committee for Export to Communist Countries) stipulated. Our country is unable to import, even the basic material is unable to obtain. Therefore, development high performance, stable reliable, our country independent intellectual property rights the large-scale military mixer system is the question that at present is urgent to solve. It has the important social value and the strategic sense.The multi-microprocessors control system of military vertical mixer based on PROFIBUS integrates the PROFIBUS technology and the industry ethernet with the mixer control system. It uses redundant operators and redundanct CPU. The cut time is smaller than for 0.3 second. The master stations and the distributed stations are connected by the redundant PROFIBUS fieldbus, forming a digital communicating network between the equipments of the control level and the field level. The system can monitor and control the field condition quickly and diagnose long-distancely, at the same time, simplify the engineering design and the construction work load, enhance the system reliability and the control precision greatly, reduce the amount ofused electic cable, save the project cost. The scheme massively selects module supporting hotly inserting and pulling out, reduces the service and the maintenance time greatly, guarantes the mixer system work normally continuously, thus guarantes the large-scale solid missile rocket engine powders charge smoothly carries on.This article has basically completed the design work of the multi-microprocessors control system of military vertical mixer based on PROFIBUS, including the vertical mixer control system scheme design, hardwares of the management level and the control level redundant system shaping and configuration, other essential electric component shaping, the control system circuit diagram design, PLC programming, and operators configuration. It integrates the PROFIBUS technology and the industry ethernet with the mixer control system, representing the development direction of the future mixer control system.
