Harmonic gear driving is a new-type drive technique that having developed in recent decades. It transfers motion and power depending on the flexible deformation of the flexspline. Because harmonic gear driving have many merits such as big ratio of transmission, small capacity and weight, high drive accuracy, little return difference and so on, it has applied successfully to many fields including aerospace, atomic reactor and high-energy accelerator, radar system, robot, military field, optical instrument and general machine. Though almost all fields involved harmonic gear driving has been studied by many domestic and foreign scholars, large numbers of work still are required to do. So, it is very significant to study harmonic gear drive. The problem of study on parameter design of harmonic gear driving system and fatigue strength of flexspline, kinematic characteristic of flexible is also analyzed in some degrees.First, the present development and principles, features and trend of harmonic gear driving are analyzed and discussed. Based on study on it at present, modle use VC++ as the compiling environment, connects the design calculation programme with the graphic interface of UG by the the develop module. Succeeded apply secondary development and achieve parameterization of harmonic gear driving system , and carry out three-dimension entity model. And these basic designed data are sent to the info-window.Second, applying shell theory, elastic theory, nonlinear FEM and the techniques of CAD/CAE, mathematic model of flexspline is established based wave producers work. Based on vibration theory, add five order vibration to flexspline modle, anslysis mode by deformation and distortion of flexspline to assure of sequence of loading; The new analysis method analysis force of flexspline in null load and full load to study on stress and displacement fields by comparing to two conditions. Conclude the max-point and min-point of force and offer the mothod of fatigue strength and basis for kinematic analysis.The last, the paper introduce analysis the improvement of research on kinematics and dynamics of harmonic gear driving system basic structure characteristics, use Unigraphics NX2.0 build a 3D model of harmonic gear driving system ,and then build a virtual prototype in ADAMS2003.
