Short-leg shear wall structure has been widely used in the high-rise residential buildings all over the world due to its good abilities and the resistance to the seismic load, especially in southern areas of our country.According to the research of short-leg shear wall~corewall structure, which is a widely used structure type, this thesis carry out the optimal design about the reasonable stiffness of shear wall in short-leg shear wall-corewall structure.In order to calculate the objective function and confirm constraint conditions which should be considered in the optimal methods, first, the thesis analyzes the structure of short-leg shear wall-corewall structure. In the analysis about the structure of short-leg shear wall-corewall structure, by comparing the mechanical characters and utilizing sequence method and energy variational principle , the thesis educes the general calculation method, theory formulas, displacements, and inner forces of the short-leg shear wall-corewall structure that under the action of horizontal seismic. This method is also being applicable to man by hand.In the stiffness optimization process of short-leg shear wall-corewall structure, taking the structure stiffness as eigen value and the minimum structural bottom total shear forces under the action of horizontal seism as objective function, the thesis brings forward a proper stiffness optimization model of short-leg shear wall which corresponds to the design requirements. And considering the complexity of the optimization model, the thesis establishes a stiffness optimization model of short-leg which bases on the Real-Coded Genetic Algorithm. Lastly, by using the FORTRAN language, the thesis compiles the program of the stiffness optimization process of short-leg shear wall-corewall structure.
