Shear wall structure system is through the wall to bear vertical load and resist lateralforce. The wall cross-sectional area is larger, the vertical bearing capacity is relatively easy tomeet the requirements; the whole structure stiffness, lateral deformation is small, can better meetthe seismic resistance requirements; at the same time, save the interior space of a building,increasing the actual use of the area, therefore, application and shear wall structure in high riseresidential more widely in the world.With the structure of the complex and seismic requirements continue to increase, in thedesign of high-rise shear wall structure, optimize the quality and structure design scheme of theseismic performance of structure, has been an important problem in the design of personnelconcerned. Unlike a project to design, different design, different seismic performance,construction cost may vary greatly, sometimes will cause unnecessary waste, the need forintensive study.This paper discusses the basic types and the domestic and international development processof tall building structures. Study of various forms and mechanical characteristics of shear wallstructures. Of Xi’an a high-rise residential building structure was designed. The structure designscheme of three versions: the first edition is short pier shear wall structure, Second Edition, ThirdEdition is the common shear wall structure different, are calculated and analyzed in detail thestructure. Through the visual description of calculation results of three version of the designscheme and specific tables or graphs, and several main parameters of: analysis and comparison ofnatural period of vibration, displacement, the maximum inter story displacement angle, axialcompression ratio, shear, the interlayer moment, probes into the feasibility, rationality andadvantages of different schemes analysis of defects, in order to find the best scheme. Finite element analysis using our design institute by the commonly used software SATWE,the short leg shear wall structure, the general shear wall structure engineering design schemes formodeling and analysis, summed up the law, puts forward the design proposal, some conclusionsare drawn:①in high seismic intensity, the number of short leg shear wall needs to be optimized,layout too much will lead to structural seismic performance variation. The common shear wallafter optimization of multiple number and position, can better meet the aseismic requirements.Shear wall structure, the optimized form reasonable, moderate rigidity, full use of buildingmaterials, is a structure form of high-rise residential building ideal.
