Now China’s current economic is growing very fast,its urbanization and related infrastructure are also in a high way. Because of the large lateral stiffness and effectively saving building function space, high-rise shear wall structure has been widely applied in the practical engineering construction. High-rise construction period is long and its investment is large,but the designers often have to adopt a more conservative structure arrangement plan, however on some degrees, the plan can be neither economic nor security. Therefore,it is very necessary to carry on the suitable optimization to the shear wall structure arrangement.In this dissertation, we analyzed the optimization design theory and the structure optimization measures from the building function, the selection of the structure system, structure and layout, reasonable structure calculation and the adjustment method through the relevant literature. We analyzed a tall building’s shear wall structure in Guangzhou, adopting our country’s current structure calculation software SATWE to model and analysis. The original scheme is optimized designed. We contrasted the optimized structure’s performance and efficiency to the original one’s by studying the structure’s dynamic characters, deformation,internal force characters and structure measures to optimize the structure,effectively improve the performance of the structure system,and save the cost. We summed up the optimum design of some control factors and provide a reference for other similar engineering value.
