Research On Lane Way Of HuiZhou Traditional Settlement

The research can be divided in three parts. The first part is mainly about the road configuration and theory summary of huizhou traditional settlements. After we understand the basic theory and general station of huizhou traditional settlements, in the second part, I explain the space syntax and doing some quantitative research on the zhanqi villages and getting some conclusions. As a result, we can see that vernacular settlements contain the spatial character and the social cultural character. In the last part, we use the conclusion into the contemporary community's road system planning.The thesis is based on the background knowledge of history and culture of the traditional settlement space in Huizhou district. Taking zhanqi and Xidi County for example, which is one of the world cultural heritage, this research tries to find the road spatial character, spatial implication, through the investigation of lots of case's road form, structure and scale, I try to find the internal rules and order of the road system ,which apparently looks so complicated.In the research, we will find the influence of Clan consciousness and traditional morality on the road system. I will make further analysis on the road system's cause of formation and find the use of reference in modern society.
