Piston is the key components of combustion engine and other vehicles, the machining precision and the quality of piston determines the performance of the combustion engine, so, the meachining method is crucial.The conventional machining method does not meet the requirements of society with its low precision, high cost and low efficiency. However, The CNC method using digital modal technique has been used successfully and being a trend in domestic market. With its high precision > low cost and high efficiency, it would have a good market. But these days this CNC system is in the base of ISA interface and under DOS operating system. This has some problems because now DOS has fallen into disuse and the PCI bus has being in place of the ISA bus. Therefore this task will do some research on the CNC piston system in the base of PCI bus and under Windows OS.In this paper, the project origin, research significance, related technical status and main research contents are briefly introduced. A whole system design scheme is given in detail. Then according to the scheme, the data processing module and the machining control module are dissertated in separate. Finally, the paper gives out the running effect of every module, testifies the feasibility of the system scheme and presents improved approaches for future research.
