With the application level enhancement of the electrical power system automation, the request for the remote control system operation reliability is more and more high. Once the remote control system appears troubles, it will bring serious influence to the production and command automation as well as the safe operation of the entire electrical power system. At the present, the monitoring systems mostly have sole function and bad data transmission reliability. Moreover the parameters that estimate the channel communication quality considered being less couldn't provide the full basis. On the other hand, using the GSM SMS to transmit alarm message and constitute a long-distance monitoring system is a quite new technology, and GSM SMS have attracted more and more people because of their numerous advantages.Therefore this paper develops the terminal unit of a kind of new wireless monitoring system for remote control system on the basis of some modern technology, such as single-chipped computer controlling, GSM wireless communication, the fuzzy synthetic evaluation and so on. The hardware part of the terminal unit is consisted of single-chipped computer primarily and each function module. The software part of the terminal unit is realized by C language to gather and process data. The transmission of the SMS alarm message is realized by TC35T communication modular.In this article, the demodulation of the remote control channel CPFSK signal is realized by soft method, which simplified the hardware design and reduced the cost. The method of fuzzy synthetic evaluation is used in judging the remote control channel communication quality, which has unique effect in judging the remote control channel communication quality and enhances the reliability for remote control channel monitoring.In this design, the hardware part and the software part have basically debugged successfully, which has achieved the anticipated goal. This research not only meets the remote system monitor system's urgent needs, but also puts forward a kind of design thought: With thethird ready-made network and combining various modern technologies, an industrial control system of long-distance wireless communication can be realized. It offers valuable experience for other unmanned watched system and has wide developing prospect.
