Manufacturing is the backbone industry of our country's national economy. After entering WTO, China has become the production base of global manufacturing. Facing ever vehement market competition, manufacturing enterprises need to enhance production efficiency and improve production site management strategy urgently. Upon that, one kind of information management system facing enterprise's workshop level-Manufacturing Execution System (MES), has become the focus of enterprise and academic research.Through collecting and analyzing workshop operation data, the enterprise production management and dispatch execution can be realized by MES with the target to reduce products under manufacturing, shorten product manufacturing cycle, find out the bottle neck in production, improve production line's operation, enhance production effency and control production cost.We have conducted comparatively deep and systematic research on platform manufacturing execution system by combining the task of "W-MES System Structure & Key Technology Research" in this essay. First, it has analyzed domestic and overseas MES's present research status, development trend, technology framework, and its relationship with ERP system; Second, it has introduced one platform manufacturing execution system (W-MES) which is applicable for discrete, massive manufacturing enterprise's material flow in production process and product quality tracing management. W-MES's technical framework, function structure, operation flow and technique are adopted by it, development technology for operation object package, development technology for explanation program and related interface are analyzed; a solution about a automobile limited company in Chongqing based on W-MES platform is proposed, this enterprise's present status, data flow, deficiency of existing system and goal of new system are analyzed, and function design, management scheme design, technology scheme design, operation environment design, data base design and system security design are conducted on the enterprise's MES system; finally, software realization interface for the enterprise's W-MES system is presented.
