Discussion On Cemetery

Systematic dissertation of cemetery was put forward based on the site exploration and related data, the important content was the culture interpretation, planning, designing and plant planning.The concept of cemetery and its related notion were defined. Then the history of international and domestic cemetery was cleared, emphasized on development of neoteric and modern cemetery, also summed up its six characters and fixed on research area of this paper.The culture interpretation of cemetery included religion culture, notion of life and death, geomancy, epitaph, gravestone art and traditional burial form. Geomancy was the important composition of Chinese culture, the site of ancient cemetery was influenced by it. Application of geomancy on selecting site was illuminated based on the emperor cemetery of Qing dynasty.The choice of cemetery site, guidance, principle of designing, planning of area, district, road and opusculum, landscape space structure were expatiated on the parts of cemetery designing, analysed the excellent cases, I hope to give some guidances to the planning of cemetery for the future.The significance of plant planning was brought forward, based on the field survey and related references, the plant of ancient cemetery and characteristic of how to select were explained. Then the art principle of plant design the layout of plant and space construction were suggested, also the feature of plant design was analyzed with the examples.The construction management of cemetery was preliminarily suggested, and the law about the cemetery construction of the country was explained. Some problems existing in the construction were analyzed. The comprehensive level of overseas cemeteries were compared with the domestic ones. Finally my own viewpoint about the cemetery construction of the country was advanced.
