Polymer-modified cement concrete composite pavement (PCC—PMCC) is a new type of pavement ,which polymer-modified cement concrete is used in the upper layer and the common cement concrete is used in the lower layer. This paper studied the load stress in the PCC—PMCC composite pavement with the help of finite element method and analyzed its influential factors especially the influence of interlayer contact on load stress. Meanwhile, the temperature stress computing model of PCC— PMCC composite pavement was built and analyzed, a deep research was conducted on load-temperature coupling stress and fatigue stress of PCC—PMCC composite pavement, and the economical efficiency of the new and old type pavements were also evaluated .Based on the study on the bonding strength between common PCC and PMCC with different dose of polymer, combined with the stress condition of PCC — PMCC composite pavement, the structural design methods of PCC —PMCC composite pavement of combined and separate types were put forward. Indoor research and trial pavement section show that: comparing to the common cement concrete pavement, the performance of PCC —PMCC composite pavement was highly increased and the cost was reduced.
