With the development of the modern technology, electronic technology, computer control technology, as well as automobile equipment technique, the new electronic application system——the car multimedia system is getting rid of the stale and bring forth the fresh. And nowadays, there are so many kinds of automobile electronic application system, which have different functions. How to combine these functions such as GPS navigation, DVD player, wireless Internet in one more powerful system has been a problem to solve at the present time.This subject is devoted to developing the car multimedia information system with higher integrated level and independent intellectual property right. First, following car-mounted multimedia system's development trend, the actuality of our nation's market and the requirement and the exception, an all-around solution to the problem is proposed in this paper, which integrates these functions by embedded system. And the principle of the car-mounted multimedia system is talked about in the paper. The holistic design projects are compared and the hardware system based on FPGA is selected finally. The design of the hardware and the software of the information management module are also given.The first important research contents of the thesis is the design of the man-machine interface of the system,including the hardware and the software of the design of touch-sensitive screen, IP core design of the LCD controller, the software design of the displaying, and the design of the management function.Another key research contents of the thesis is the design of the monitor and controller of the safe information of automobile based on CAN bus, including the scheme compare and confirmed, the chip chosen, CAN controller hardware circuit designed, formulation of CAN communication agreement, such situations as the software is written.Finally, the characteristic of this system is summarized, according to the actual result ever researched and developed, and next design of it is looked forward to.
