The purpose of this paper is to produce a set of program with which we can analyze and diagnose the vibration fault of a rotor system, on the base of research on the vibration fault analysis and diagnosis for a rotor system.Two main aspects are involved in the paper. Firstly, by the research on the digital signal processing, the digital signal processing program of vibration fault analysis for rotor system is developed. According to the steps of vibration fault diagnosis, many modules are designed in the program, which can fulfill some functions, such as the display of signal, the analysis of signal, etc. Data is collected from a test on the rotor experimental platform, which is displayed and analyzed with the program mentioned in this paper. Compared with the effect made by other program that process data signal, the effect obtained is satisfying, which proves the accuracy of the program. Secondly, The theory of the knowledge-based diagnosis expert system is discussed and a module of diagnosis expert system program is compiled, which has the functions of managing database and fault diagnosis. By the research on the fault of rotor, knowledge is extracted and database on the base of which many fault of rotors can be diagnosed is founded. Finally, by observation and analysis for rotor bent fault and test, it is proved that the program has basic function of analysis and diagnosis for vibration fault and is being actual utility.
