This dissertation researched video transportation detecting and image processing and recognition in transportation supervision technology on the basis of video-detecting and digital image-processing technology, with the subject "Research and application of motor vehicle detecting technology". Firstly, it introduced research background and application actuality of video-detecting technology and vehicle recognition system both domestically and internationally and pointed out its significance and outlook. Secondly, the dissertation introduced method of video-detecting technology and principle of detecting and recognition with image-processing and recognition. Thirdly, it analyzed some problem in image-processing, such as image filtering and noise reduction, image sharpening, image enhancement, image segmentation, feature pick-up and object recognition. On the basis of these analysis, the dissertation set up a mathematical model of background subtraction method adopted in design and realization of motor vehicle peccancy-detecting system and accomplished automatic update of background. Lastly, this dissertation introduced hardware design of motor vehicle peccancy-detecting system and realized the main function of the system on the software platform of Assemble Language, Visual Basic 6.0, and Windows 98/2000/XP. Simulating test shows that the design is rational, and the system runs quickly, stably and reliably with complete functions.The major characteristics of this thesis are as follows:1. Based on the analysis and comparison of video detecting technology, it found out a practical and effective detecting method— background subtraction method. At the same time, it presented some tentative ideas in improving of the method.2. After researching on image processing and recognition technology, it proposed a new design scheme using image collection board with dual memory to solve the problem of incapability of date collection and read synchronously of normal image collection board. |
