Chinese classical gardens mainly include private gardens in south China and royal gardens in north China ( Zhu Jianning, 2005 ) , which are precious historical and cultural heritage according to their unique landscaping character. Landform is the framework of any gardens, because its any change will engender other aspects' replacement, such as garden's style, arrangement of architectures and plants, ways of drainage, etc; on the opposite, all these elements will affect the artificial landform to some extent. Since almost all first thing of human being's rebuilding of the environment is reconstruction to the landform, seasonable recognizing, using and rebuilding landform is an important way to save time, human labor, money and resource. On the basic of investigating local spots, consulting literatures, concluding various theories, this article concludes character of artificial landform and space of classical gardens in Beijing, brings forward its inspire to modern gardens at the aspects of itself character, landscaping function, relations among all elements, construction of space. As a result, it has not only scientific but sensible level of landscaping landform's theory, tells native character of Chinese gardens, hoping to break the historical limitation and further the classical theories to meet modern people's environmental needs.
