Pump is one kind of general machines, which widely used in many fields. While in the process of pump structure design, the type chooses and calibrations of rolling bearings are of great importance, which is vital for safe and efficient run. In this process, iterative process is inevitable, for instance, initial choose and calibration, then according to the practical situation re-choose and recalibrate, until obtained satisfactory rolling bearing. In order to cut down the iterative labor and make it programmed simple and accurate, some work was done in this paper. In pertinent research, there is much work based on AutoCAD platform by using ADS to select rolling bearing automatically. But do it with ARX and MFC, and corresponding paper was not found. Therefore, according to operating conditions and selection principle of rolling bearing, a software system for selection and calibration was accomplished, on the base of AutoCAD platform, ObjectARX and VC6.0++, which is beneficial for improving the design efficiency of the whole pump.Summarizing the actual work conditions of the rolling bearings, and comparing with other second developed tools about AutoCAD, an application program with friendly interface was put forward by the tool of ObjectARX2000, which succeed in selecting reliable and rational rolling bearings. The main work is outlined as following:1. The actual working conditions of the rolling bearings in pump and types and corresponding assemble modes of rolling bearings were introduced; this program's design conception and flow of program were confirmed, based on analyzing and comparing some principles of type selection of the rolling bearings.2. The process of second developed about AutoCAD was discussed briefly; some problems were solved successfully, such as achievement of the graphic about CAD, dynamic link of database and management of the diagram.3. The structure features of the ObjectARX and that of MFC in VC6.0++ were analyzed mainly and the key point on application of MFC in ObjectARX.4. The technical character about ADO and the content of the Access database, and some attentions during the applying of ADO were presented.the databases of rolling bearings were established.5. The codes were compiled and debugged according to principles available, and some representative selection processes were illustrated, and corresponding results were analyzed briefly.the result indicates that this type selection and calibration system is of manipulation simpleness,using conveniency and good practicability which is worth popularizing.
