In the Integrated Circuit design field, based on the technology of IP core design and reuse, hardware/software co-design, SoC platform based design and verification methodology, System-on-one-Chip (SoC) has become a key technology to improve the integration, reduce the power consumption, cut the design cost, and shorten the time to market.In this thesis, the SoC design methodology of system integration and verification has been studied. A SPARC V8 based, built on AMBA system bus, on-satellite computer SoC design process is discussed.In the SoC platform building and system integrating phase, the code implementation of AHB arbitration, AHB address coding, APB bridge, and APB address coding is given. The way to expand bus, interrupt and integrate the peripheral IP core on the system bus is presented.To meet the requirement of reconfigurable feature of the SoC design, a reconfigurable platform using Tcl/Tk script language is built. The realization of reconfigurable concept, the process to build the platform, and the reconfigurable platform self-update are presented.Based on the SoC verification methodology, a feasible and efficient verification process is studied. Focusing on the system bus level verification, hardware/software co-verification and hardware emulation platform based verification in different SoC design phases, the thesis discussed the implementation of random bus level verification using Vera, the way to design and load hardware/software co-verification stimulus, and the design of an hardware emulation platform including design entry, PCB layout and the verification process on the platform are presented in detail.
