The study on hydro-viscous controllable transmission system based on virtual prototyping technology is one of the important applications of the virtual reality to industry engineering. It adopts new operation model to provide creative method to industry engineer and the application of the virtual prototyping technology makes a great important academic and designing meaning.The belt conveyor controllable transmission system is the background of the study on hydro-viscous controllable transmission system based on virtual prototyping that realize virtual prototyping system simulation by personal computer. This research establishes 3-D entity model with Pro/ENGINEER entity design software and transmits it to ADAMS design environment. This method successfully solves the problem of data interface and data transition between Pro/ENGINEER and ADAMS and well preserves cubage information and relative location relation. Furthermore, it builds simulation model of the starting process of hydro-viscous controllable transmission mechanical system. In the virtual environment, it establishes prototyping of hydraulic system, realizes interfacing of experiment data of hydraulic system and mechanism system in the same interface and accomplishes the simulating design of entire virtual prototyping system of hydro-viscous controllable transmission. In this study, we can simulate and optimize the starting process of hydro-viscous controllable transmission system by kinematics and dynamics study. Through making continued development, formed an automatic modeling and simulation platform.The exploitation and study on virtual prototyping of hydro-viscous controllable transmission system indicate it is feasible that we explore hydro-viscous controllable transmission system. This study has very high reference value in simulating complex machinery system of power-generating and hydraulic pressure equipment unify of industry engineering.
