The traditional materials used to repairing concrete structures are fiber reinforced thermosetting resins. These composites have some fatal disadvantages such as low rupture elongation, long productive cycle, brittleness, unrecycled and toxicity. So the idea of selecting thermoplastic X to prepare composites used for reinforcing concrete was put forward here. Complicated working procedures in existence have been simplified. Another aim is developing high efficiency pultrusion technology.Thermoplastic X is in solid at normal temperature, it should be melt. This kind of resin will be oxygenized. So some measure was taken to solve this problem from point of techniques. A closed melting device was designed. The melting device and molding device was jointed as a whole. In view of solidifying characteristics of thermoplastic X, a molding device was designed. On the base of above research, the manufacturing process for fiber reinforced thermoplastic sheets was investigated. The pultron velocity and the temperature of melting device and modeling device were researched. The mechanical performance of fiber reinforced thermoplastics is satisfied. The key purpose of this study is checking up the reinforcement capacity of yielded FRP. The stiffness and crack performance of the above tested were observed. The experimental results revealed that bonding FRP on the concrete slab could evidently increase the bend-resistant strength of the slab. The improvement by using AFRP (25mm width) and carbon fiber to reinforce slab were almost equal. But the cost of AFRP was lower than the carbon fiber Sheet. Some formula was taken to validate the experimental results. Based on the ANSYS software, a three-dimension model of reinforced concrete slabs was computed, and the outcome correlates well with experiment data.
