As the development of the research on EEG, the application of EEG is becoming more widely and in the application of AEEG and the brain-machine interface, the mobility of the EEG monitoring device is required, which means the wireless transmission of the EEG signal is required. This article is to design a mobile EEG monitoring device based on the wireless transmission technology. The highlight of this article is to put wireless technology into the EEG monitor device to seperate data collection module from the signal processing and display module structrually to improve the flexibility of the device.The character of the EEG signal and the operation principle of the EEG monitoring machine are introduced. After comparing several prevalent wireless transmission technologies considering the EEG character and the strcuture of EEG monitoring device, the radio frequency technology is selected to transfer the EEG data.The system includes signal amplifier, filter, A/D converter, wireless module and system control module. Special attention is paid to the design of wireless transmission circuit and the integrating of the wireless circuit to the whole circuit. The chip nRF24El from NORDIC is utilized in the wireless transmission module.The software includes the program of the micro-controller and the wireless transmission single-chip nRF24El and the application software on PC. The micro-controller software control the collection and transmisson of EEG data; The nRF24El single-chip program, one of the most important part of the software design, implements the function of wireless transmisson of the EEG data and the interaction with other modules. The problem of this part is how to make the 3 MCU work smoothly. The interaction of the MCUs and the data transmission order are well arranged to solve the problem.
