Safety position of our country about electric power is stabile as a whole in recent years. But some states always occurred, such as stealing and destroying electric power equipment which damaged the security of system and caused tremendous economic loss. The task of electrical power equipment protected needs increasing technological devotion, popularizing, applying advanced guard against theft system step by step and people's defense.The dissertation is based on such background. It is a fact that the power steel tower is always far away from the city and has a bad transportation and telecommunication condition. According to the fact mentioned above, in this dissertation, we have developed one monitoring system based on GPRS remote data transmission network, in order to master the circumstance of power steel tower and discover the destruction. In order to make it more flexible and convenient, we made use of GPRS network resources, taking advantage of wide covering, good transmitting characteristics, a convenient wireless data transmission method has been put forward for present system. The MCU send collecting command to picture collecting module and transmit to data monitoring center according to TriTech detector's monitoring information. Furthermore, SMS message also be sent to picture collecting module controlled by MCU to collect environmental information about power steel tower.The paper presents the design of system hardware and software in detail. The emphasis is introduced how TriTech Detector monitor, picture data transmit, GPRS module connect to the Internet via AT command and transmit data, realize real-time monitoring and manage picture data.The paper puts forward a new type of power steel tower monitoring technology and realizes the whole system design. The test shows that each characteristic meets the requirements of the original design.
