The application of semantic analysis of NLU to products design is introduced and anaphora solution in NLU system is emphasized in this paper. The anaphora in users'requirements expressed in natural language is analyzed and transformed into the requirements of conceptual design, by which the sequent design is supported.Firstly, the ontology theory is chosen as a supplement to the method based-on knowledge, by the analysis of current semantic analysis methods, combined with the character of NLU system. And advantages of which are discussed in detail. Secondly, due to the structure of anaphora, conceptual dependency tree is introduced on the basis of the ontology theory and resource model to denote the relation of concepts. By classifying anaphora in detail, the model of which is established and the realization of which is also illustrated. Thirdly, it is done that the establishment of semantic model on the basis of conceptual dependency tree and corresponding knowledge base. The regulation of anaphora solution is crystallized to the degree of realization. By which, the program applies to the domain NLU. At last, the application of anaphora solution of NLU to the requirement analysis of archetype in mechanical products design is achieved. Being programmed and debugged, the system is in operation.
